INGREDIENTS



1 cup broken vermicelli
2 tbsp ghee
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup milk
4-5 cardamom pods, crushed
1 tbsp cashews, chopped
1 tbsp almonds, chopped
1 tbsp raisins, soaked
1 tbsp pistachios, chopped

Heat the ghee in a large pan. Put in the vermicelli, and roast it till it browns. Strain the vermicelli out of the pan, with the remaining ghee still in it.
Add crushed cardamom pods to the ghee, and pour in the milk and sugar. Once the milk comes to a boil, add the vermicelli.
Continue cooking till the vermicelli softens and the milk dries out completely. Add the chopped dry fruits, and serve the halwa while warm.
